Job Description:

Our client is one of the leading TravelTech companies worldwide. They seek a senior/lead/principal engineer with architect experience to lead the development and scaling of AI solutions across the business, supporting hundreds of APIs.

It is essential that you have proven experience building AI integrations at large scale, with hundreds of thousands of users per month.

This role is fully remote within Spain.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement system architecture: Design system structure, select technologies, outline data flow, establish development guidelines, and create strategies for scalability, data management, security, and disaster recovery.
2. Design architecture supporting AI innovation: Lead solutions achieving 90% AI-assisted case resolution, oversee AI and LLM integrations to enhance customer experience, and ensure seamless system-AI integration.
3. Align system, data, and infrastructure architecture: Coordinate with data and infrastructure teams to ensure systems work harmoniously, focusing on data flow, processing efficiency, and infrastructure support.
4. Embrace and integrate new technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies, evaluate their potential, and guide their integration aligned with organizational goals.
5. Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with developers, operations, data scientists, and stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
6. Solve problems and troubleshoot: Identify core issues, implement lasting solutions, and foster a resilient technical environment.

Required Skills

• Experience implementing AI/LLM solutions in customer-facing environments, with background in software development and operations. Travel industry experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with advanced LLM features like Function Calling, API integrations, Vector Embeddings, semantic search, Prompt Engineering, and RAG.
• Experience in cloud-native environments and diverse system architectures.
• Proven ability to design scalable, resilient systems for large-scale development and maintenance.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, with strong analytical skills and focus on KPIs.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly.
• Experience managing stakeholders and mentoring teams across departments.
