We are seeking a Principal Adviser Executive Communications to craft impactful content for the Group CEO and Chairman, aligning with Rio Tinto's strategic objectives. This role suits an experienced communications professional skilled in speechwriting and top-level corporate communications.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, results-oriented individual to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Head of External Communications within the Corporate Affairs team, your responsibilities include:

  • Producing high-quality communications for the Group CEO and Chairman
  • Writing speeches and key messages, ensuring alignment with company values and strategy
  • Managing the Group CEO’s social media accounts in collaboration with the Social Media team and Chief of Staff
  • Gathering feedback to enhance CEO communications
  • Supporting ExCo speechwriting and other communication needs
  • Staying informed on the Group’s strategy and key issues for accurate support
  • Monitoring industry trends to suggest innovative communication ideas
  • Maintaining a consistent tone across all channels
  • Aligning the Group CEO’s priorities with the wider Communications team
