Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking a Principal Accountant to lead the preparation and monitoring of capital and revenue budgets and final accounts across services.

You will work with the Director of Resources and Head of Financial Services, ideally as CIPFA qualified, to deliver key projects within a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex information to non-finance colleagues. Hybrid working available post-induction in Clitheroe.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CCAB/CIPFA preferred.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver key projects.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor capital and revenue budgets and final accounts for a range of services.
• Provide assistance and advice to the Director of Resources and Head of Financial Services on government legislation and accounting changes.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver key projects and outcomes.
