Primary (Y3-4) teacher and primary team leader

Area / composite (Years 1–15)

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

We are seeking a collaborative team player who is a motivated and positive teacher with knowledge of and experience with TLF, Maths No Problem, Structured Literacy, and CPS is an advantage, but ongoing support and training are available.

The successful candidate will be a NZ-registered teacher responsible for delivering high-quality education to Y3-4 students and leading a team of dedicated teachers to achieve academic excellence. Previous leadership experience is desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Supporting the overall development and well-being of students.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes.

Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the primary school.
  • Inspire and empower staff members to achieve their full potential, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the school, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Proven teaching experience at the primary school level in New Zealand.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence.
  • 2 Management units with the possibility of extra MUs by negotiation.
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Schoolhouse accommodation available.
