Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience with children with SEN.

  • Liaise with parents and professionals for coordinated support.

Job description

Location: Oxfordshire

Pay rate: 30per hour

Job type: Temporary- Part-time- Flexible Hours

We are currently working with Oxfordshire council to provide tuition for students in need of extra support. This role is an asap start- please see below details.

Role details:

  • Student: Year 5
  • Subjects: Maths and English
  • SEN: ASD,ADHD,Dyspraxia, Alegric Rhinitis and Eczema
  • Face to face
  • Hours: 6 per week - flexible hours!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 tuition in Maths, and/or English, adapted to the student's ability and learning profile.
  • Work with learners with a variety of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, global development delay and communication difficulties.
  • Design and deliver individualised lesson plans in line with EHCPs or identified support needs.
  • Use a calm, consistent, and encouraging approach to build trust and foster student engagement.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure consistent and coordinated support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Experience teaching or supporting core subjects. (Maths or English)
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired:

  • SEN Qualification, ABA experience, or training in Autism/ Social Communication strategies.
  • PGCE or QTS.
  • Previous experience working with students in an alternative provision or outside the classroom environment.
