Job summary

Fleet Education Services is seeking a Primary Tutor to support learners in and around the Oxford/Headington area with 1:1 and small group tuition. Face-to-face sessions typically occur at the learner's home, school, or a local community venue, during school hours.

You’ll deliver personalised English, Maths and core curriculum lessons, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and schools to ensure academic success. DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience teaching or tutoring Primary-aged learners (KS1 and/or KS2).
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners’ progress in English, Maths and others Primary curriculum subjects.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner academic success.
• Maintaining accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.

Please Note:

• Flexible agency work with no minimum-hours commitment, you choose the assignments that fit your availability
• You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE.
• Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
