Job summary

Fleet Education Services in the Oxford area is seeking a Primary Tutor to support learners through 1:1 and small group tuition, typically at the learner's home, school, or a local venue. Flexible, face-to-face tutoring fits around your commitments.

You will design personalised lessons and monitor progress in English, Maths, and core subjects while coordinating with parents and schools. DBS checks are required or obtainable, with assignments paid under PAYE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Level 6) is required.
• Minimum of 6 months UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience teaching Primary-aged learners (KS1/KS2).
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress in English, Maths and other Primary subjects.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and schools to support learner academic success.
• Maintain accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.

Please Note:

• Flexible agency work with no minimum-hours commitment, you choose the assignments that fit your availability
• You will work through a contract for service and will be paid viaPAYE.
• Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete oursafer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
