Overview

What do you think is the key to sparking a love of learning in students and do you incorporate the same passion in the education? We are looking for someone who can work full or part time in a primary school in Lincoln. We have openings to join our Trainee Teaching assistant programme to build experience working in a primary school without experience.

We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages even if they don't have experience. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs. Previous experience for this role is essential; EYFS experience is preferable but not essential. This role starts in September and is ongoing.

This is a local school near Crowle; we are looking for someone flexible in terms of days, and the school is looking for someone part time.

Requirements
  • Have recent experience supporting children aged 5-11 or EYFS experience
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop
  • Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years and we must be able to obtain valid references from these roles
  • A passion for education
  • Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff registered will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
