Job summary

Remedy Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Lambeth. You will assist the class teacher with daily lessons and provide 1:1 and small group support to help children progress.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children, a calm, patient approach, good communication and organisational skills, and an Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one. This is a rewarding role in welcoming primary schools across Lambeth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Calm, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Work with the class teacher to support daily lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing, maths and classroom activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, focus and confidence in learning.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.
• Help prepare resources and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
