TeacherActive is recruiting passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing across primary school settings in Birmingham. Join our team to help pupils reach their full potential with one-to-one and small-group support, while working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons in a safe, inclusive classroom.

This role is suitable for those with CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning and a passion for safeguarding and child welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring, reliable and enthusiastic with a proactive approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
• Assist pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Help maintain a safe, positive and well-organised classroom.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.
