Vision for Education are seeking Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Bury St Edmunds and surrounding villages, supporting children across year groups and on a 1-1 basis where required.

Successful candidates will have a genuine passion for education, be able to build strong relationships with children, and hold a full enhanced DBS clearance or be willing to obtain one. Applications from aspiring TAs are welcome.

Vision for Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Bury St Edmunds and surrounding villages, working with a variety of year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis. Applications from aspiring teaching assistants are welcome!

About the role

Schools regularly contact us looking for teaching assistant support. Schools are generally looking for teaching assistants to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. These roles tend to come about with very little notice due to schools taking on a new starter or long term staff absence.

We are looking for people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach and an understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the 'Cambridge Therapeutic Approach' and/ or a 'Trauma Informed approach' would be beneficial.

These roles begin on a temporary/ flexible basis but there is often the possibility that they will become long/ term or permanent in the long-term.

The schools we work with with are friendly and supportive with solid staff induction procedures. Our staff are commended for being reliable and able to use their initiative within busy and demanding classroom environments.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Have a genuine passion for working in education
• Hold a full enhanced DBS clearance or be willing to process one
• Be able to provide two recent professional workplace references

Salary

£465 - £550 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
