Primary Teaching Assistant - September, Weston-super-Mare

Prospero Teaching is currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Primary Teaching Assistants to teach in lovely Primary schools based in the North Somerset area. We are partnered with several schools and have part-time, full-time, long-term, and short-term roles available.

The schools we work with are looking for Teaching Assistants who have a passion for teaching and learning. The teacher will need to help deliver lessons to a high standard. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will work with Class Teachers in delivering subjects and the curriculum.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: North Somerset
• Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
• Type of work: Day-to-day and long-term teaching in Primary schools
• Start Date: September 2024
• Duration: Long term
• Contract Type: Part-time and full-time depending on school needs
• Minimum rate of pay: From GBP 90-100 a day
• Hours: 08:30 am - 4:00 pm (full-time), half-day (am or pm), individual lesson cover

Experience

• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, not essential)
• DBS on the update system or willing to proceed through the process

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
