Job summary

Bewick Bridge Primary School in Cherry Hinton, near Cambridge, seeks a capable teaching assistant for a fixed-term role starting ASAP. The 15.5-hour week spans 2.5 days during term time plus INSET days, with Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday full days. DBS checks apply and visits are welcomed.

Salary aligns to Level 2 Scale 5, with a supportive school environment. We offer a friendly, dedicated team, a new school build with outdoor space, and opportunities to gain firsthand teaching

Qualifications

• Has experience of working with children of primary school ages.
• Observant and able to use their initiative to support teaching staff.
• Provides a nurturing, inclusive learning environment aligned with school ethos.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff as part of the school’s support team.
• Assist with learning activities and supervision of pupils during lessons and breaks.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in school activities and inspections as required.
