Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming primary school in the Kennington area, seeking two part-time Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Year 3 and Year 5. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience supporting children, aimed at helping pupils develop confidence, engagement and progress.

The position is part-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 1:00pm term time only, located in Kennington.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in school, education or similar settings.
• Calm, patient and positive approach when supporting pupils.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, professional and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to the class teacher and pupils across the school day.
• Support pupils who may require additional guidance with learning activities.
• Encourage participation in lessons, group activities and social interaction.
• Help promote positive relationships, confidence and engagement within the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
