Job summary

Sywell CE Primary invites applications for a Teaching Assistant, fixed term until 31 July 2027. The role is 17.50 hours across 5 mornings per week, 38 weeks per year, with starting ASAP.

You will work with teachers to support learning, supervise pupils, and help implement pupil education in a nurturing, faith-informed environment rooted in our school values. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, approachable and focused on safeguarding and wellbeing, with opportunities for CPD including

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary pupils in a learning environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.
• Willingness to undertake CPD including First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils in the learning environment.
• Assist the teacher with implementing pupil education.
• Help manage pupil behaviour in line with policy.
