Teaching Assistant

Location: Worksop

Salary: £400- £550 per week

Pay rates shown are dependent on qualifications and recent experience.

About the role

Connex Education is in partnership with a vibrant Primary School within the Worksop area to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a regular relief cover basis starting ASAP. You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to achieve student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving and creative community, and you will need to meet high standards and match the ambitious expectations alongside the staff and the governors. A key ethos and aim for this school is to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made.

Duties:

• General classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2.
• Facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help.
• Working closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals.

Person Specification:

• Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
• Willingness to support on a 1:1 basis or work in small groups with children.
• Behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc.
• Organised and reliable.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one.
• Willingness to go the extra mile!
