Job description

More Than Just a Job - A True Introduction to Education
You're not here to make up the numbers. You're here to make an impact. And so are we.

At Tradewind Recruitment, we connect passionate, driven individuals with schools that put people first. This September, a number of mainstream and specialist schools across Hertfordshire are on the lookout for Primary Teaching Assistants who are ready to support children who need a little extra care and attention.

This isn't about sitting on the sidelines.
It's about stepping in, building meaningful relationships, and being the steady, encouraging presence that helps a child believe in themselves.

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting teachers in Hertfordshire's primary and secondary schools
Working with children with special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, and SEMH
Offering focused support to pupils 1:1 or in small groups to boost their confidence and engagement
Helping children build essential skills in communication, concentration, and emotional regulation
Learning from inside the classroom what inclusive, child-centred teaching really looks like

Who You Are
A graduate from any subject background, driven by a desire to make a positive difference
Calm, compassionate, and a strong communicator
Experienced with - or simply great at connecting with - young people
Adaptable, open-minded, and eager to learn
No teaching qualifications needed - just a genuine commitment to helping children thrive

What You'll Get from Us
A full-time, paid role where your work has real purpose
Free, practical training to build your confidence and skills
Guidance towards a teaching career - or other roles in education and care
Dedicated support from a consultant who understands Hertfordshire's schools
Real opportunities to develop - no vague promises here
