Primary Teaching Assistant Doncaster
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £85 £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them succeed in a primary school setting? GSL Education is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Doncaster. This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in the learning and development of pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to ensure pupils stay engaged and make progress.

  • Assist the class teacher with delivering interactive and differentiated lessons.

  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional learning requirements.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

  • Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.

  • Supervise children during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and other school activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (in schools, tutoring, or childcare settings).

  • Understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
