Primary Teaching Assistant - Year 1

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Chester. This is a full-time, term-time position, ideal for someone with experience in early years or KS1 who thrives in a collaborative and child-focused environment.

This role is due to start after May half term and will involve working closely with the KS1 team. You will be required to support the daily routine of the class, conduct small interventions in core subjects, and assist the class teacher on a general basis. The role will run until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering a creative and engaging curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and encourage progress.
• Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and general learning activities.
• Contribute to the social and emotional development of pupils.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

To be considered for this role, we will need:

• Proof of Right to Work, such as your Passport or Birth Certificate.
• A CV covering 10 years of education or employment.
• A fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to process one with us. (We will refund the cost of the DBS)
