Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in Darlington and surrounding areas. You will help children grow in confidence, assist teachers with lessons and behaviour management, and contribute to an inclusive, positive classroom environment.

We welcome applicants with experience in UK primary settings, a good grasp of the KS1/KS2 National Curriculum, and a proactive, patient approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a UK primary classroom.
• Good knowledge of KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum.
• A positive, patient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to build confidence and understanding.
• Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Encouraging every child to reach their full potential.
