Job summary

Ortus Recruitment Ltd. is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support mainstream primary schools in Battersea, Wandsworth. The role is full-time with immediate start and offers daily PAYE pay between £93 and £115.

You'll work closely with teachers to prepare materials, support reading, writing, phonics and numeracy, and help pupils develop confidence in a busy classroom environment. Previous education/childcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, childcare, tutoring or mentoring is valued.
• A positive, energetic and approachable personality.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised; able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with everyday classroom activities.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Provide additional support to pupils during lessons.
• Assist with reading, writing, phonics and numeracy activities.
• Support individual pupils and small learning groups.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom participation.
• Help children develop independence and confidence.
• Contribute to a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment.
