Job summary

Choice Teachers are recruiting enthusiastic teaching assistants to support primary schools across Hertfordshire. Immediate start with long-term opportunities; ideal for 5 days a week, though day-to-day supply also considered.

PAYE PAY rates £85-£100 per day, equivalent to £18,500-£22,500 per annum pro rata. Role involves supporting EYFS to KS2 pupils, 1:1 and small-group assistance, SEND support, classroom prep, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• Ability to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Experience with SEND is beneficial.
• Availability to work five days a week preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with delivering engaging lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Assist with SEND and learning needs.
• Help with classroom prep and routines.
• Promote positive behaviour and safe learning environment.
• Encourage pupil participation and progress.
