Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £84 - £108 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

About the Role:

You’ll be working closely with teachers and pupils, offering both one-to-one and group support to help children succeed academically and emotionally. No two days will be the same – but every day will be rewarding!

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  1. Assist teachers in delivering fun and engaging lessons
  2. Provide small group and one-to-one learning support
  3. Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  4. Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom activities
  5. Support pupils' social and emotional development
  6. Encourage curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning
What We’re Looking For in a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  1. A relevant qualification or a degree in education (desirable)
  2. A nurturing, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
  3. A fully checkable work history
  4. Flexibility to work across different classroom environments
  5. Team-player with great communication skills
  6. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
