The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential
• Build positive relationships and boost children's confidence, engagement and independence
• Support class teachers across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Help create a calm, positive learning environment
• Support children with additional needs, including social, emotional and behavioural challenges

You might be a great fit if you have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or
• Experience with children or young people in education, residential care, youth work, support work, sports coaching, childcare, mentoring or similar
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to settle quickly into different school environments
• Experience with SEND or challenging behaviour (a bonus, not essential)

This role is ideal for:

• Qualified TAs looking for flexible work
• Graduates considering a PGCE or a teaching career, a great way to gain classroom experience
• People from care, youth work, residential support or coaching backgrounds who want to move into schools

What you'll need

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply, and we'll guide you through it)
• Referenceable experience with children or young people
• Two professional references
• Right to work in the UK
