Support Worker - Primary School in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Axcis is working with a primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, seeking a dedicated support worker to assist students with special educational needs as a Primary Teaching Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support KS1 and KS2 students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring each child's learning and enjoyment.

Position Details:

1. Role: Primary Teaching Assistant
2. Support for students with special educational needs
3. Pay: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on skills and experience)
4. Schedule: Term Time Only, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am - 3:30 pm
5. Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire
6. Start: ASAP until the end of the academic year
7. Full-time and part-time positions available

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with various special educational needs
2. Following care plans and attending to specific student needs
3. Assisting students inside and outside the classroom to engage fully in activities
4. Supporting students with learning disabilities, including nonverbal students, those with limited speech, and challenging behaviors
