Primary Teachers Required in Sefton Schools

Primary Class Teacher

£31,650 – £43,607 (according to national pay scale M1-M6, based on experience)

Location: Sefton / Across Merseyside

Position Type: Full-time/Part-time

First Steps Enterprise is seeking Primary Teachers for schools in the Sefton area for fixed-term contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, evaluate, and review learning programmes that promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
  • Teach individual pupils or small groups, reviewing lessons and adapting teaching styles according to school policies.
  • Participate in preparing pupils for public examinations, assess and record pupil progress, and supervise during examinations.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and related activities.
  • Act as a faculty coordinator, overseeing subject group development and self-evaluation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching experience with the appropriate age group.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Knowledge of the relevant subject and Key Stage.
  • Ability to deliver a flexible, differentiated curriculum to pupils with varying abilities.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • High-standard communication and interaction skills.
  • Maintain professional standards and work effectively within a team.
  • Resilience, good communication, and emotional resilience.
