Job description

Primary Class Teacher

Salary: £31,650 – £43,607 (according to national pay scale M1-M6, based on experience)

Location: Sefton / Across Merseyside

Position Type: Full-time/Part-time

First Steps Enterprise is seeking Primary Teachers for schools in the Sefton area on fixed-term contracts.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, evaluate, and review learning programmes that promote sound practice and support physical, emotional, social, cultural, and moral development.
  2. Teach individual pupils or small groups, reviewing lessons and adapting teaching styles according to school policies.
  3. Assist in preparing pupils for public examinations, assess and report on pupils' progress, and supervise during examinations.
  4. Participate in curriculum development and related activities.
  5. Act as a faculty coordinator, overseeing subject group development and self-evaluation.
Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience with the relevant age group.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Knowledge of the relevant subject and Key Stage.
  • Ability to deliver a flexible, differentiated curriculum.
  • Skills in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills.
  • High professional standards and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Resilience and emotional resilience.

All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training. This role is for fixed-term positions as they become available.
