Primary Teachers required in Cambridgeshire

Are you a qualified primary teacher with QTS/QTLS who is looking for work?

Are you looking for work in the Cambridgeshire area?

We can offer permanent roles, contract work and daily supply in schools in the following areas -

Cambridge, Peterborough, St Neots, Wisbech, March and Ely

Strategy Education are currently recruiting Primary teachers for the remainder of this summer term as well as for September 2025. We are currently looking for Primary teachers to support local primary schools on both a daily supply basis, as well as longer term cover including sickness and maternity leave.

You will be required to show flexibility in your approach to teaching and candidates must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least 6 months recent experience of teaching the current UK curriculum.

Requirements of the role of Primary teacher

Applicants do need to have experience of teaching across either Early Years and/or Key Stage 1 and 2. You must also have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's will also be considered for these roles.

  • As a Supply Teacher it is essential that you follow the planning set by the school (unless you are asked to provide work) and ensure that you follow their marking policy at the end of the school day.
  • Devising lesson plans based on curriculum guidelines
  • Encouraging student participation and performance
  • Supervising students while they complete tasks independently
  • Setting homework or exercises for students to practice their skills after class
  • Developing and marking examinations to measure students progress
  • Assessing and reporting on students academic achievements and behaviour
