Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a Primary Teacher in Dukinfield to support pupils with SEMH and SEND. You will plan lessons, teach the curriculum, assess progress, and maintain high expectations, adapting as needed to help students access learning.

The role emphasizes flexible, student-centered approaches, with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team and families, to promote emotional regulation and academic growth.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent and strong primary curriculum knowledge.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEND.
• Confident behaviour and classroom management.
• Ability to differentiate and adapt learning effectively.
• Understanding SEND practice and statutory guidance.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering differentiated primary lessons
• Adapting teaching around individual SEND and SEMH needs
• Identifying barriers to learning and developing practical strategies to overcome them
• Supporting emotional regulation alongside academic development
• Using assessment to identify gaps and plan appropriate next steps
• Contributing to individual learning and support plans
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SEND colleagues and therapists
• Maintaining appropriate expectations around behaviour and learning
• Building constructive relationships with families and wider professionals
