Primary School Teacher (Year 5 & 6) - SEMH School, Boston

Location: Boston, Lincolnshire

Salary: £162-£262 per day (m1-m6)

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Start Date: ASAP


Milk Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our team for a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Boston. This role will involve teaching Year 5 and Year 6 students, providing tailored education and emotional support in a nurturing and structured learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of SEMH students.
  2. Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional and behavioural needs.
  4. Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive engagement.
  5. Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, parents, and carers to enhance student learning.
  6. Maintain effective classroom management and uphold school policies.

Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 5 or Year 6.
  3. Previous experience working with SEMH students or within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
  4. Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and ability to differentiate learning.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Adaptability and a proactive approach to teaching.
  7. A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
