Job Description:

We are seeking a Primary Teacher - Nurture Teacher – Intervention Teacher - SEMH for a school near Woking, supporting children aged 9-16 with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. All students have an EHCP detailing their specific needs, including difficulties in forming relationships, high anxiety, and challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering primary curriculum including maths and English as intervention lessons for KS3/4 pupils
  • Managing behavior and supporting learning and participation
  • Encouraging social skills development and supporting individual needs
  • Participating in team meetings and training
  • Supporting safeguarding regulations

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Experience in a special school environment, especially with ASC and SEND pupils
  • Experience delivering differentiated curricula
  • Additional qualifications in SEND are desirable
  • Knowledge of ASC/SEMH and complex needs
  • Understanding of the national curriculum and autism-related conditions

Summary:

  • Location: Woking
  • Salary: £140 - £220 per day
  • Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm, term time only
  • Full-time and part-time roles available, flexible hours, short and long-term contracts
  • Start: April 2025 or later
