Are you seeking a long-term teaching opportunity in the Wakefield area?

We have a wonderful opportunity for a friendly and passionate Primary Teacher to provide maternity cover at one of our welcoming Primary Schools starting from September 2025. Ideally, you will have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and be flexible in your approach to meet diverse learner needs.

The full-time role is expected to run from early September 2025 to March 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on the school's needs. An earlier start date may be considered for the right candidate.

The Primary Academy is part of the Pontefract Academies Trust, dedicated to giving children and young people the best opportunities in life and education. You will join a strong staff team, working collaboratively to share expertise, promote a supportive environment, and foster positive progression.

We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers. The role offers a daily rate of up to £230, depending on experience.

We are seeking applicants with:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for teaching
• Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
• An enhanced DBS disclosure or willingness to obtain one
• Right to Work in the UK; please note we cannot offer Visa Sponsorship
