Your new company
Hays Education are currently recruiting for reliable and adaptable primary teachers to work at a Primary School in North Bristol. This role is based in Year 6 and will be suited to somebody who is able to come into the class and support the children through the final part of their Primary School journey. The school's curriculum equips pupils with the necessary knowledge and skills so they achieve and develop a sense of worth and a moral purpose. The school has good behaviour with written principles for maintaining this as well as a hands on SLT team who are available for support and guidance; the class will have just successfully completed their SATS so the school will be looking for someone who is able to help transition the journey from primary to secondary with ease. The school has had an Ofsted report of Good.
Your new role
This role is on a part time basis and will be suited to those who have a passion for Key Stage 2 teaching. Year 6 is the final part of the primary education journey and we are looking for teachers who can inspire those pupils. The school will be looking for someone with strong behaviour management skills as the class will have a mixture of varying abilities; the role is open to ECT's. The successful candidate will have routine day to day classroom responsibilities along with working with other teachers in the year to form a collaborative team. Lessons will be pre-planned but the school would expect your input on the existing planning and where appropriate expect you to adapt for the differing needs in the class.
What you'll need to succeed

  • You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 5 years.
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 is preferred but open to anybody with Key Stage 2 experience.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum
