Prospero Teaching are looking for a qualified SEN Teacher in Mitcham this September.


Key Details:
Start date: September 2025 (Interview NOW)
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Southwest London (Streatham and Tooting)
Pay: In line with the national teaching pay scale

About the school:

A therapy focused alternative provision for 5-19 year olds with SEMH needs. Small class sizes and support from CAMHS, Art and Play Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Safer Schools Officer and Social Workers.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Create a nurturing, safe and structured learning environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team including therapists and support staff
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEMH or additional needs
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A resilient, compassionate and flexible approach
