Job summary

A leading educational service provider in Leicester is seeking a Primary Teacher for day-to-day supply work. The candidate will deliver lessons, support diverse learners, and must possess QTS. Qualifications

Job description

Primary Teacher

Pay Rate: £160+ per day (depending on experience)

Location: Leicester - LE5 and surrounding areas

Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)/ 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you a primary teacher looking for day-to-day work within schools? Do you have experience working with Key Stage 1 or 2?

Look no further - we have the ideal role for you!

GSL Education is currently working with primary schools in the LE5 area and surrounding locations, supporting them with the recruitment of day-to-day supply teachers to cover staff sickness and absences as needed. Due to the nature of this role, you may be contacted on the day of work between 7am-7:30am, however we do our best to give you as much notice as possible.

The role includes:

  • Delivering lessons from the National Curriculum and differentiated the work to children.
  • General Group support and using sports as an enrichment activity
  • Working alongside teaching assistants to help provide the best learning environment
  • Encourage learning and concertation in lessons
  • Leading sports classes indoors and outdoors
  • Acting as a positive role model, energetic and always willing to support.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Experienced in working with young children in a mainstream school.
  • Experienced working with Challenging Behaviour, Autism, ADHD and Social and Emotional Mental Health
  • Relevant qualifications (QTS) - essential
  • Must have a good understanding of the curriculum
  • Must be able to work full time 5 days a week.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one)
  • 2x References are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
