A welcoming and nurturing primary school, vibrant and inclusive school located in Hackney is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their supportive team starting in September

The school are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1.

Possesses an excellent understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, including phonics (e.g., knowledge of Phonics Play, Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc.)

Is skilled at creating a stimulating, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where children feel safe, happy, and eager to learn.

Is committed to fostering a love of learning through creative, play-based, and practical approaches.

Demonstrates strong classroom management skills, promoting positive behaviour and independence.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and carers.

Is proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to their own professional development.
