Job summary

Job Description:

GSL Education is working with a school in Leicester looking to appoint a teacher to work across KS1 and KS2, delivering catch-up intervention work to children below age-expected levels.

The primary objective of an Intervention/Booster Teacher is to raise attainment and enhance the school's reputation. Working closely with class teachers, you will provide individualized teaching to address gaps in Reading, Writing, and Maths.

The main duties include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging booster sessions to KS1 and KS2 children
  • Assessing pupils' levels and liaising with class teachers
  • Identifying learning gaps and tailoring instruction accordingly
  • Preparing children for end-of-year assessments
  • Working with pupils below age expectations across KS1 and KS2
  • Tracking and measuring student progress against specific objectives

Applications are also welcome from teaching assistants or unqualified teachers with excellent classroom management, previous experience in literacy and numeracy interventions, and experience working across KS2.
