Job Description:

GSL Education is working with a school in Hull that is looking to appoint a teacher to work across KS1 and KS2, delivering catch-up intervention work to children below age-expected levels for the upcoming academic year.

Due to lower than expected SATs results this year, the primary goal of an Intervention/Booster Teacher will be to raise pupils' attainment levels and help enhance the school's reputation. Working closely with class teachers, you will provide individualized teaching to address specific gaps in Reading, Writing, and Maths.

Main duties include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging booster sessions to KS1 and KS2 children
  • Assessing pupils' levels and liaising with class teachers
  • Identifying gaps in learning and tailoring instruction accordingly
  • Preparing children for end-of-year assessments
  • Working with pupils below age-expected levels across KS1 and KS2
  • Monitoring and measuring student progress against set objectives

Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Unqualified Teachers with excellent classroom management, previous experience in literacy and numeracy interventions, and experience working across KS2 are encouraged to apply.
