Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum; tailor teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess, record, and report pupil progress and attainment in line with school policy.
• Promote the general progress and well-being of pupils; provide guidance on educational and social matters.
• Communicate with parents/carers, usually with senior phase leaders or the Head of Year, and attend relevant meetings.
• Participate in INSET, professional development, and the school appraisal framework.
• Maintain good order and discipline, safeguarding pupils on school premises and during activities.
• Prepare pupils for examinations and assessments (e.g., SATs, Phonics Screening) as required.
• Contribute to curriculum development, induction of new teachers, and pastoral functions of the school.
