The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join this thriving specialist School. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, they will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring the department and the school achieve their aims. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and determined, sharing our values and seeking career development in this specialist area.

Who we are:

Cambian Wisbech School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school providing specialist education for up to 40 students aged 7-17 years. Our goal is to re-engage learners with their education and foster a sense of belonging and success, replacing feelings of failure and frustration.

Who are we looking for?

We seek a qualified Teacher. Experience in SEMH/SEN specialist provision is desirable, but applications from those in mainstream or college settings will also be considered. The teacher must be able to deliver lessons across KS2.

Training and development will be provided based on the school's needs, the individual's skills, and career aspirations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
  • Manage classes effectively, using approaches suitable for students’ needs to motivate them.
  • Manage student anxiety to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Understand assessment requirements for the relevant curriculum and subject areas.
  • Experience teaching at any key stage is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic to meet all students' needs.
  • Be passionate about making learning effective and enjoyable.
  • Subject specialism qualification is desirable.
