Primary Teacher - Abingdon. Simply Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Abingdon that is seeking a passionate and dedicated primary teacher to join their Early Years team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, play-based environment and is eager to help young children take their first steps in education. The school offers flexible working arrangements, with part-time (as little as 0.2) and full-time contracts available depending on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess child-led and adult-led activities in line with EYFS guidelines
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where children can thrive emotionally and academically
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, effective behaviour management, and a warm, caring approach
• Support young children’s social, emotional, and educational development

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a PGCE, GTP, or Bachelor of Education, or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a special interest in Early Years
• Have additional experience teaching within the EYFS framework, ideally in Nursery or Reception
• Be enthusiastic about contributing to the Early Years environment and processes
• Be prepared to provide two years of references and undergo an enhanced DBS check; the role is subject to satisfactory background screening
