Overview

Job Title: Primary Teacher (Year Group Flexible – Y2 to Y6) | Location: Hoddesdon | Start Date: April 2026 | Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday) – Long-term until the end of the academic year, with potential for a permanent role from September 2026.

A welcoming and supportive primary school is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team from April 2026. This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) with flexibility across year groups, ideally between Year 2 and Year 6, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and the needs of the school.

This role will initially run until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract from September 2026 for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (ideally Y2–Y6)
  • Is passionate about primary education and inspiring young learners
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Able to commute to Hoddesdon
