Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with friendly and forward-thinking primary schools in Portland, who are looking for passionate and committed Primary Teachers to join their team from September.

We welcome applications from both Experienced Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) eager to make a real impact on young learners.

About the Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you’ll be delivering engaging, inclusive lessons in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2, helping to build strong foundations for children’s learning. You'll be part of a supportive team that values creativity, collaboration, and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Work effectively with support staff, parents, and the wider school community
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL pupils

You Will Need:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent classroom experience (placements for ECTs also considered)
  • A passion for helping children grow and succeed
  • Good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
