Job description

Primary Teacher - Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position, open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.

Our school was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in November 2023, and we're proud of the strong Catholic ethos that underpins everything we do. We believe in aiming high, supporting each other, and helping every child become the very best version of themselves.

What makes our school special?

We are a two-form entry Catholic primary school - situated in Stevenage - within a diverse and welcoming community. Set in a beautiful location overlooking Fairlands Valley Lakes, we're just 30 minutes from central London by train and close to major transport links.

We are committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and excellence - not just for our children, but for our staff too.

What we can offer you:

  • A caring, faith-filled school with a strong sense of community
  • Children who are curious, kind, and love learning
  • Supportive, experienced colleagues who enjoy working and planning together
  • A parallel class teacher to share planning and ideas
  • Opportunities to grow professionally - including subject leadership (if appropriate)
  • A forward-thinking leadership team that encourages creativity and new ideas
  • Excellent training and CPD through Herts for Learning and the Diocese of Westminster
  • A well-resourced, financially secure school environment
  • A warm and friendly staff culture - with laughter, support, and shared purpose

Who we're looking for:

Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, we want someone who:

  • Is passionate about teaching and committed to helping every child succeed
  • Enjoys being part of a team and contributing to school life
  • Brings energy, positivity, and a willingness to grow
  • Understands the importance of inclusive practice and building strong relationships with families

Visitors often comment on the school's happy, purposeful atmosphere and the sense of belonging that runs through everything we do. You can find out more about us by visiting our website or taking a look at our pupil newsletter.

Safeguarding Statement:

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and other relevant pre-employment checks. References will be taken up prior to interview and followed up thoroughly.
