Job description

Are you a qualified teacher with a heart for nurturing young minds beyond the curriculum? Do you believe that every child deserves the chance to succeed-no matter the challenges they face?

We're working in partnership with a specialist primary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Hillingdon that is seeking inspirational and resilient teachers to join their team this September.

This is not your typical teaching role. It's an opportunity to be a life-changing presence in the lives of children who need it most.

About the School:

This is a vibrant, inclusive, and well-resourced SEMH school supporting pupils aged 5-11 with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school places a strong emphasis on nurture, structure and relationships, creating a space where children feel safe, heard and empowered to learn.

You'll be joining a close-knit, supportive team who are passionate about trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches and building trusting connections with pupils.

The Role:

  1. Full-time, permanent or long-term contract
  2. Deliver a broad and balanced primary curriculum, tailored to individual needs
  3. Use creativity, patience and emotional intelligence to manage behaviour and engage pupils
  4. Work closely with support staff, therapists and families to create holistic support plans
  5. Foster a classroom environment built on respect, consistency and care

What We're Looking For:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - both primary and secondary-trained teachers are welcome
  2. Experience or a strong interest in working with SEMH or SEND pupils
  3. Resilience, empathy and a genuine passion for inclusive education
  4. A team player with excellent communication and classroom management skills

What You'll Receive:

  1. Competitive pay rates (MPS/UPS plus potential SEN allowance)
  2. Ongoing CPD in SEMH, trauma-informed practice and SEND
  3. A dedicated education consultant offering tailored support throughout your placement
  4. The opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact

This is more than just a teaching role-it's a purpose-driven career opportunity where your influence will be felt every day.
