SEMH Teacher Role at Liverpool Primary School

Milk Education is recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious, and qualified SEMH Teacher to join an exceptional SEMH primary school in Liverpool. The suitable candidate needs to be resilient, friendly, and passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs.

This role is to begin part-time starting from September.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs. The school emphasizes high boundaries and supports behaviour management through a trauma-informed process.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to support pupils in reaching their potential!

Class Teacher Responsibilities:
  1. Have a good, up-to-date understanding of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, and know how to adapt them, including personalising learning to help all learners achieve their potential.
  2. Hold positive values and attitudes and maintain high standards of behaviour professionally.
  3. Organise the classroom, resources, pupil groupings, and displays to create a stimulating learning environment.
  4. Manage the learning of individuals, groups, and whole classes effectively, modifying teaching as needed based on the lesson stage and learner needs.
Class Teacher Must-Haves:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Successful teaching experience across Key Stages 2 & 3 within a SEND/SEMH school
  • Degree or specialism in Science
  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies with proven success
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with children, parents, staff, and governors where appropriate
  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience with SEMH/SEN needs
