Job summary

Supply Desk is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work across welcoming primary schools in Portsmouth, starting September 2026. We recruit for KS1 and KS2, including Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners for long-term placements.

You will deliver high-quality lessons, support pupil progress, and help foster a nurturing learning environment. QTS or equivalent is required, with strong classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within KS1 and/or KS2 (ECTs welcome).
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.

Pay Rate: £168 £232 per day

Supply Desk is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Portsmouth. We are recruiting for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 roles, offering fantastic opportunities for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners looking for their next long-term placement.

This is an excellent opportunity to join schools that are committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum, supporting pupil progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

The ideal candidate will have:
