Job description

ABC Teachers are currently looking for a qualified Year 6 Primary school teacher to work at a primary school within the Central Walsall area to begin from the 28th April 2025. This role will be full-time, Monday to Friday until the end of the summer term with the potential to be extended into September.

You will be:

  • Working school hours of 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday.
  • Working as a class teacher in a Year 6 setting, with responsibilities including planning and delivering lessons that support all learners.
  • Preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs, including addressing gaps in knowledge and providing targeted support.
  • Participating in parents evenings and providing regular updates on pupil progress (time compensated).

You must:

  • Hold valid teaching experience and Qualifications (QTS).
  • Have strong curriculum knowledge appropriate for Year 6.
  • Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years of experience.
  • Be able to control a classroom environment efficiently while delivering high quality lessons.
  • Have a passion for teaching and learning while being able to bring a positive and creative approach to the classroom.
  • Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.
  • Have previous experience working within education or a similar environment.
