Job Title: Primary Teacher

Location: Mountfield Heath School, Robertsbridge TN32 5FA

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Start Date: September 2025

Due to growth in service, we are looking for a Primary Teacher with EYFS experience to join our fantastic team at Mountfield Heath School, Robertsbridge.

Who we are looking for

As a Primary Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school’s integrated therapeutic curriculum in a way that maximises their achievements and ability to develop. This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible. When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Primary Teacher experienced in teaching EYFS and who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Purpose of Job
  1. To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team
  2. To teach a range of subjects as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s integrated therapeutic curriculum
  3. In consultation with the Headteacher/Senior Leadership Team undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum. Educated to Degree level and/or of Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.

About Us

Mountfield Heath School is a new independent special educational needs provision, for 32 pupils aged 5-12. The successful candidate will be working alongside Teachers, support staff and therapists to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication and learning difficulties.

This opportunity is in Robertsbridge which is within commutable distance of Hastings, Royal Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas.
