Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Day-to-Day Supply Teachers to cover across primary schools in the Chorley area (PR6/PR7). Flexible days, short-term cover and ad-hoc bookings available, with paid weekly rates.

Applicants must hold UK QTS and have the right to work in the UK. A current enhanced DBS is preferred, and full employment history should be provided. This role supports local schools with high-quality teaching and positive pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs welcome).
• Flexible, adaptable, and reliable attitude with a passion for education.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• CV covers full employment history from leaving continuous education.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set engaging lessons and maintain a well-managed, positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school policies, routines and classroom environments.
• Engage and motivate pupils of all abilities on day-to-day assignments.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school guidelines.
• Mark completed work before leaving and provide handover notes when needed.

Role Type: Day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and ad-hoc bookings

Ages: EYFS, Primary, options available depending on your specialism

Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates (paid weekly)

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set engaging lessons and maintaining a well-managed, positive learning environment.
